Win with Navy Raffle Launched
Win with Navy, is a self help program to increase funding for
Navy member recreational activities including the provision of
some monies directly to ships funds and Navy sport. All of the
funds beyond the administrative costs of running the Raffle will
be returned to sailors either as prizes or funding of activities
for serving members.
The Raffle will be drawn every payday with an initial fortnightly
prize of $5,000. As participation builds and greater funds are
available there will be special draws for richer prizes such as
vehicles and real estate. Tickets will be $2 and the maximum amount
to be allocated is $10 ensuring 6 tickets into the draw. The limitation
on the number of tickets was adopted as a responsible approach
to gambling. Similar motivations guide a policy that members under
the age of 18 will not be able to participate.

The first draw of the Lottery will be on 26 November 2009.
